Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) announced on August 7th that a new service has been added to its corporate freight transport service, "Tokaido Mach Express."

We will launch a transportation service utilizing direct trains on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines, as well as the "Tokaido Ultra Mach Express," which allows same-day application and delivery.
JR Central and JR West will further strengthen their collaboration on their respective freight transport services, "Tokaido Mach Express" (Tokaido Shinkansen) and "Nimo-shu!" (Sanyo Shinkansen), and will launch a new service utilizing direct trains. This will improve speed and further enhance the convenience of the service.
In addition, on the Tokaido Shinkansen line, in addition to the pre-booked "Tokaido Mach Service" (order deadline: one week in advance), a new emergency transport service, "Tokaido Super Mach Service," will be launched, significantly shortening the lead time from application to the start of transport, enabling "same-day application and same-day delivery." This service can be used by contacting the service provider up to two hours before the train's departure on the day of travel.
A baggage transport service utilizing direct trains on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines will begin on August 18th (applications must be made up to one week prior to the desired transport date). The Tokaido Super Mach Express service will begin on September 1st.
