According to Zero's financial results for the fiscal year ending June 2025, announced on August 7, net sales were 147.843 billion yen (up 5.0% year-on-year), operating profit was 10.228 billion yen (up 64.4%), pre-tax profit was 10.213 billion yen (up 64.0%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders was 7.179 billion yen (up 73.0%).
Sales in the domestic automotive-related business amounted to 69.519 billion yen (up 9.0%), and operating profit was 9.047 billion yen (up 29.4%).
In our core vehicle transport business, despite facing the implementation of regulations on driver working hours due to the 2024 logistics problem, we were able to maintain our transport capabilities by promoting a division of labor system among drivers, strengthening driver recruitment, and increasing the unit price paid to partner companies, thereby maintaining the number of vehicles we transport.
On the other hand, the company is also affected by the costs of addressing the 2024 problem, rising recruitment and labor costs due to increases in the consumer price index and minimum wage, as well as increased vehicle and maintenance costs for car carriers. In this environment, the following have contributed to profit generation: 1. The company is conducting sales activities that prioritize gross profit, such as promoting the acquisition of return loads to reduce empty sections in order to effectively utilize its limited transportation resources; 2. The company's performance at Zero Plus BHS and Zero Plus IKEDA is strong, and Sowing has been made a consolidated subsidiary; and 3.2024. The company has been gradually raising transportation fees for new and used cars since January 1.
On the other hand, Sowing recorded a partial impairment loss on goodwill because the business environment assumed at the time of acquisition had deviated from reality.
For the next fiscal year, the company projects net sales of 1450 billion yen (down 1.9%), operating profit of 103 billion yen (up 0.7%), pre-tax profit of 103 billion yen (up 0.8%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders of 72 billion yen (up 0.3%).
