Senko Group Holdings (GHD) held a completion ceremony for the "Senko Group Urawa Logistics Center" (Midori Ward, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) on August 7th.
Constructed by Senko Group Holdings, the facility is the group's largest logistics base with a total floor area of 81,082 m2. Senko, a subsidiary, operates the center jointly with Runtec, which operates it with a floor area of 38,790 m2 and a floor area of 42,127 m2.

The building has eight floors (five floors of warehouse space) and is equipped with a refrigerated and frozen warehouse, 90 truck berths on the first and second floors, a waiting area for 40 large vehicles, as well as solar power generation equipment and emergency power generation equipment.
The location is adjacent to the Urawa Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway. It is within approximately 30 km of central Tokyo, allowing it to cover deliveries to the greater Tokyo area. It is also within walking distance of Urawa-Misono Station on the Saitama Rapid Railway, and the surrounding area is a newly developed residential area, which is advantageous for securing workers.
At Senko Group's logistics centers scattered throughout the Saitama area, the volume of goods destined for the Tokyo metropolitan area, mainly for mass retailers, is increasing, and the new center will accommodate this increased volume.
Furthermore, Runtec will introduce a large-scale automated warehouse, approximately 35 meters tall, in its refrigerated and frozen storage area. The opening of the new center will strengthen logistics for the Tokyo metropolitan area and meet the growing demand for the cold chain.
