According to Nissin's first-quarter financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026, announced on August 8, net sales were 47.796 billion yen (up 1.4% year-on-year), operating profit was 2.473 billion yen (up 23.6%), ordinary profit was 2.749 billion yen (up 19.4%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders was 1.498 billion yen (down 75.4%).

Sales in the logistics business were 29.545 billion yen (up 2.7%), and operating profit was 1.816 billion yen (up 43.2%).

Looking at the data by region, in Japan, the handling of automobile-related cargo, food products, and chemicals remained strong. In addition, in maritime cargo, exports of automobiles, machinery and equipment, and imports of food products and general merchandise contributed to profits, while in air cargo, the handling of automobile-related cargo and pharmaceuticals contributed to profits.

Meanwhile, while some areas in Asia showed signs of recovery, the region fell short of its targets due to factors such as sluggish growth in air cargo in Vietnam.

In China, while sea and air cargo handling remained strong in Shanghai, rising costs, including increased warehouse rents, weighed down profits in Hong Kong.

In the Americas, the handling of cargo originating from and destined for China decreased due to the impact of reciprocal tariffs, and the handling of automotive-related cargo also remained sluggish, failing to meet targets. In Canada, while air exports performed strongly, the handling of automotive-related cargo in Mexico stagnated.

In Europe, profits exceeded expectations, driven by strong warehousing operations in Poland. Sea and air cargo handling in the UK performed well, and export operations of machinery and equipment in Austria contributed to profits.

The full-year earnings forecast is not being released because the company is scheduled to be delisted after completing the necessary procedures.
