According to the first-quarter financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026 announced by Valor Holdings, which operates supermarkets and home centers, sales in its distribution-related business (logistics business) were 4.979 billion yen (up 1.7% year-on-year), and operating profit was 1.227 billion yen (up 2.6%).

In the distribution-related business, sales increased due to expanded revenue from collection and sorting at logistics centers, as well as increased revenue from Sagitomi Transport.

Furthermore, by partially passing on the increased cost of goods sold, including transportation costs over a wide area, to prices, the company was able to absorb the increase in selling expenses and general and administrative expenses, such as rising facility costs, personnel costs, and collection and delivery costs, resulting in increased revenue and profit.
