According to the second quarter (interim) financial results for the fiscal year ending December 2025, announced by Nippon Concept on August 13, net sales were 8.717 billion yen (up 0.3% year-on-year), operating profit was 933 million yen (down 36.5%), ordinary profit was 888 million yen (down 41.0%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders was 590 million yen (down 42.9%).
As China continues to expand its petrochemical production capacity, domestic production and exports from Japan stagnate, competition is intensifying. In the first half of this interim consolidated accounting period, profit margins declined due to an increase in cases where we were forced to accept orders in order to secure the volume of products we handle, as well as rising costs due to inflation both domestically and internationally.
For the full year, the company projects net sales of 40.482 billion yen (down 4.5%), operating profit of 1.289 billion yen (down 7.7%), ordinary profit of 1.334 billion yen (down 11.3%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders of 797 million yen (down 11.6%).
