On August 18, Hakobel published an article about the implementation of its "Truck Log" system at Sankyu's Fukuoka Logistics Center.

Sankyu Fukuoka Branch is a branch of a company that primarily operates in the transportation and warehousing business, with three warehouses located in Fukuoka City. In addition to handling the receiving, storage, and delivery of general cargo, it also handles the import and export of foreign goods and loading and unloading operations at a packing warehouse equipped with overhead cranes.
With the enforcement of the Comprehensive Logistics Efficiency Improvement Act requiring a reduction in truck loading and unloading times, the company introduced "Truck Log" to two adjacent warehouses, the Fukuoka Logistics Center and the Second Fukuoka Logistics Center. After researching and considering similar systems, they decided to adopt Truck Log because it allows for simple use of only reception and calling functions, and has low implementation costs.
Previously, drivers would come to the office, fill out necessary information on registration forms, and the office and loading/unloading sites would communicate via radio to confirm the situation before a forklift operator would go to call them. After introducing the truck log system, the burden on office staff and forklift operators regarding registration and calling drivers was significantly reduced. It also became possible to compile and analyze waiting and loading/unloading times, which was difficult with the previous paper-based registration system, and the results of this analysis can now be used to improve operations and negotiate with shippers and transportation companies.
Going forward, we will consider further efficiency improvements through the use of reservation functions. In addition, we plan to promote logistics efficiency improvements with shippers by utilizing the accumulated data.
