Fuji Transport Machinery Industry, a manufacturer and distributor of material handling equipment, announced on August 20 that its palletizing robot "Fuji Ace" has been selected as an eligible product for the "Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Labor-Saving Investment Subsidy Catalog Order Type" by the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan.
<Palletizing robot "Fuji Ace">

FujiAce is a specialized robot that performs tasks such as palletizing (stacking products supplied from manufacturing lines onto pallets) and depalletizing (unloading products from pallets) in place of humans. It is suitable for warehousing where shipping operations are concentrated, and for manufacturing sites that handle heavy items such as beverages and food products.
The subsidy aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in expanding sales and improving productivity by subsidizing a portion of the costs of introducing labor-saving products for SMEs struggling with labor shortages. The subsidy rate is 1/2 of the introduction cost (maximum of 1500 million yen).
The product catalog lists labor-saving products that have been reviewed and verified for their business process improvement methods, labor-saving effects, and price reasonableness. Applicants select products from the catalog and apply jointly with the sales company.
