On August 21, four companies—Adastria, Baroque Japan Limited, TSI Holdings, and United Arrows—announced the activities of the "Apparel Logistics Research Group," which was established in October 2023.
The research group has conducted various demonstrations to date, including joint delivery for stores within Japan, joint delivery for e-commerce malls, and joint transportation in the area of procurement from overseas.

Through multiple demonstrations, it has become clear that the challenges of joint transportation, such as coordinating collection and delivery times and ensuring truck and container loading rates, can be improved by ensuring sufficient cargo volume at each source (each company's logistics base) and destination (each company's store facilities and logistics bases). This suggests that bringing together companies with common needs regarding logistics base regions, types of goods, and delivery methods will open up possibilities for developing new routes and service options.
Furthermore, the advantages of merging from further upstream (the production site in the case of overseas procurement) have become apparent, revealing that broadening one's perspective opens up a variety of possibilities and options.
With the belief that greater results can be achieved as the number of participating companies increases, we will continue to work together to address the industry's challenges.
