On August 20, Maruun Logistics Kanto, a subsidiary of Maruun, introduced the latest model fuel cell truck (FCV) with the aim of reducing its environmental impact, and held a delivery ceremony.
The truck to be introduced will be the first FCV truck in the Maruun Group, and it is planned to be used for Sompo Japan Insurance's internal mail delivery service, for which the company handles delivery operations.

In addition to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, a golden key presentation ceremony was held at the vehicle delivery ceremony, with Isuzu Motors, the manufacturer and responsible party, and other participants. The sides of the vehicle are based on the company's truck colors and feature a design incorporating a symbol mark representing the Earth and the company's environmental activities.
This initiative is being implemented as part of NEDO's (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization) "Green Innovation Fund Project/Construction of a Smart Mobility Society." Maruun and Maruun Logistics Kanto are participating in this initiative by providing various vehicle data at the request of CJPT (Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies), which has received a grant from NEDO.
The company stated that it will continue to actively promote the introduction of low-carbon vehicles with the aim of promoting environmentally friendly logistics and contributing to local communities.
