The Nishitetsu Group is strengthening its social contribution activities to support the next generation of children as part of its efforts to achieve sustainable growth and development together with local communities, and has been implementing a career experience program since 2009.
This year, our International Logistics Division held its first-ever hands-on workshop, allowing children to experience the entire process from preparing goods for export to shipping.
At the Fukuoka Logistics Center, we conducted a program where participants could try their hand at tasks such as "picking products to find them," "matching products and documents using barcodes," "packaging using cushioning materials," and "creating cargo labels and simple shipping documents." We also held explanations and quizzes to help them learn about international logistics in a fun way.
Participants shared comments such as, "I enjoyed working with barcodes," "I was happy to ride in big trucks and forklifts," and "It was a great summer vacation memory."
