Kintetsu Express announced on August 27 that its Singapore subsidiary, KWE-Kintetsu WorldExpress (S) (KWE Singapore), will rebuild its Changi South headquarters warehouse with the aim of completing the project in fiscal year 2027.
The Changi South headquarters warehouse is an extremely important hub for coordinating with air transport due to its proximity to Changi Airport, and has been a part of KWE Singapore's growth for 29 years since its completion in 1996.
In recent years, driven by the Singaporean government's proactive efforts to attract businesses and tax incentives, healthcare and semiconductor companies, primarily from Europe and the United States, have been concentrating in Singapore, further increasing the country's importance as a hub in Southeast Asia.
KWE Singapore positions the expansion of its logistics business, in addition to its forwarding business, as a pillar of its growth strategy. Through rebuilding, it will expand warehouse space and functions, and through collaboration with APL Logistics, it aims to improve the efficiency and productivity of the entire group.
