Konan Trading Co., Ltd. and T2 announced on August 29 that they will jointly conduct a demonstration project to transport goods handled by the home improvement store "Konan" using autonomous trucks on trunk lines, starting in September 2025, on a section of the expressway between the Kanto and Kansai regions.

In the demonstration, T2 will use its Level 2 autonomous trucks, which it has been using for commercial operations since July of this year, to transport its own branded products of various shapes and weights, such as tools and household goods sold at "Kohnan," and verify whether it can build a sustainable logistics system from a technical and operational standpoint.
The location is a section of the expressway connecting Konan Shoji's Kaizuka Distribution Center (Osaka Prefecture) and Kawasaki Bay Distribution Center (Kanagawa Prefecture).
Based on the results of the demonstration, the two companies plan to consider collaborating on trunk line transportation using Level 4 autonomous trucks.
