On August 29, Nippon Express began offering a cross-border e-commerce logistics service for overseas products destined for Japan, utilizing its logistics web application "DCX (Digital Commerce Transformation)".

The new service allows overseas retailers to import order data from their e-commerce sites onto "DCX" and issue shipping labels for deliveries within Japan online.
The key feature is that you can simply send your packaged goods to an overseas warehouse designated by the NX Group, and all the complicated import/export procedures, customs clearance, and domestic delivery arrangements in Japan can be handled in one stop.
Furthermore, NX Group offers outsourcing services that can handle inventory management and shipping operations at its overseas warehouses, as well as shipping analysis (optional) and AI-powered shipping forecasting to support optimal inventory management and procurement planning.
According to the announcement, in recent years, purchases by Japanese consumers on overseas e-commerce sites have continued to expand, with annual transactions from the United States in particular reaching approximately 3800 billion yen. On the other hand, high transportation costs and complicated customs procedures have been major obstacles for both sellers and buyers.
Nippon Express is offering this service as a new solution to address these challenges, enabling overseas e-commerce businesses to deliver goods to Japanese consumers more cheaply and smoothly. The service will initially be launched for air freight from North America, Europe, and South Asia to Japan, with plans to gradually expand to other areas in 2026.
