20250901kasumigaseki - Kasumigaseki Capital begins construction of a 2.58 m2 automated refrigerated warehouse in Higashi-Ogishima, Kawasaki City.

The facility is an "automated refrigerated warehouse" that uses automated racks to automate the loading and unloading of goods in the freezer, aiming to improve the chronic labor shortage and harsh working conditions in the logistics industry.

Located in the Higashi-Ogishima bay area, where many frozen and refrigerated logistics facilities are concentrated, and situated approximately 1.7 km from the Higashi-Ogishima Interchange on the Shuto Expressway Wangan Line, this facility offers high convenience as a distribution hub covering the entire Kanto region and as a consolidation point for import and export cargo.

The warehouse section is a two-story multi-level warehouse. The first level houses truck berths and a loading/unloading area (+5°C zone), while the second level is a refrigerated storage area (-25°C zone) with automated racks installed in a 27-meter-high open space. The facility is designed so that humans do not need to enter the refrigerated storage area for daily operations. The refrigerated storage area can accommodate 20,644 pallets, making it a highly efficient multi-level warehouse.

In anticipation of the 2030 CFC regulations, the facility is planned to be an environmentally friendly facility that will use natural refrigerants for cooling and install solar power generation panels on the roof to supply electricity using renewable energy.
