On September 1st, Kasumigaseki Capital announced the establishment of a local subsidiary, KASUMIGASEKI CAPITAL (MALAYSIA), in Malaysia, and that it will launch a logistics business utilizing its expertise in developing refrigerated and frozen warehouses and automated frozen warehouses.
Malaysia will be the first step in our expansion into ASEAN countries. We have signed a land purchase agreement with a major developer, a wholly owned subsidiary of a company listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange Main Market, and have commenced a development project for an automated cold storage warehouse.
The development project for the automated cold storage warehouse is planned for an area approximately 37 km from the center of Kuala Lumpur, about a 40-minute drive away. The site area is 12,262 m2 and the total floor area is 11,453 m2, with construction scheduled to begin in October 2026 and be completed in December 2028.

Malaysia continues to experience population and economic growth, establishing itself as a logistics hub in Southeast Asia. Its advantageous geographical location allows it to function as a vital hub connecting ASEAN countries.
Increased exports are expected due to the expansion of the e-commerce driven by rising incomes resulting from economic growth, as well as increased demand for halal products in developing economies such as Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Kasumigaseki Capital decided to enter the Malaysian logistics market, anticipating its expected expansion and the tight supply and demand for refrigerated and frozen warehouses. While expanding its logistics business in Malaysia, the company also has its sights set on expanding into other ASEAN countries.
