On September 2nd, Hacobu began offering a QR code reservation function for its truck reservation service, "MOVO Berth."

By allowing truck drivers to complete the check-in process simply by scanning a QR code installed at the logistics center with their smartphone, the system reduces congestion and stress associated with waiting for users to input information on tablets, while also improving the efficiency of check-in operations for the logistics center.

It will be available at all MOVO Berth installation locations from 6 PM on September 2nd, and no special application or additional fees are required.

QR codes and dedicated desktop templates will be distributed sequentially to all logistics centers that have implemented MOVO Berth. In addition, QR codes can also be downloaded from the master-only page for MOVO Berth administrators.

Up until now, logistics centers that have implemented MOVO Berth have offered two methods for drivers to check in: using a tablet device and using online check-in, which allows them to remotely complete entry procedures from their waiting area. However, tablet check-in sometimes required time for input, leading to inefficiencies such as waiting in line.

The QR code registration function allows drivers to scan a QR code displayed at the logistics center with their smartphone, which then takes them to a registration screen where they can enter the necessary information. By using a smartphone that they are already familiar with, the input process can be carried out smoothly.

For logistics centers, this system reduces waiting times at reception, improves operational efficiency during peak hours, and allows for operation even in reception areas with limited space by displaying QR codes.

In addition, it can be effectively used in situations where the entry routes for some vehicles differ, making tablet installation difficult, or in environments where it is difficult to install terminals at night for security reasons.

Hacobu is based on a QR code reception function and plans to expand its features to include multilingual support and vehicle license plate authentication.
