HEROZ, a company that develops AI technology and services, announced on September 2nd that it has entered into a business partnership with APT.
HEROZ aims to solve challenges in the logistics industry, such as labor shortages and operational complexity, by combining its unique AI technology, cultivated through projects like shogi AI, with APT's expertise in logistics operations.
As part of the business partnership, they will develop "Warehouse Cross System (WXS)," a next-generation warehouse automation system utilizing AI. WXS will integrate previously fragmented warehouse systems, improving productivity and flexibility in logistics operations and reducing total cost of ownership.
The logistics industry is facing challenges such as labor shortages, increasing operational complexity, and the need to reduce total cost of ownership. Traditional warehouse management systems, with their separate operation of WMS (Warehouse Management System), WCS (Warehouse Control System), and WES (Warehouse Execution System), made overall optimization difficult. This led to the collaboration to integrate warehouse systems.
Going forward, HEROZ and APT aim to create warehouses that can autonomously make decisions by collecting, integrating, and analyzing various data within the warehouse, such as inventory levels and staffing. They also plan to connect not only the warehouse itself, but also procurement, distribution, and sales channels to achieve optimization.
