Freightman Logistics and Kantsu announced on September 3rd that they have entered into a strategic business alliance.
Freightman Logistics provides forwarding services that centrally manage international logistics in East Asia and ASEAN, while Kantsu operates logistics and IT automation businesses.
This partnership will integrate Kantsu's warehouse network within China with Freightman Logistics' international transportation network. It will provide comprehensive supply chain support, including transportation, customs clearance, and inventory management, primarily to resource-constrained corporate clients such as small businesses, SMEs, and mid-sized enterprises.
Specifically, this involves connecting Kantsu's domestic warehouses in Japan with its warehouses in China (including bonded zones), providing a one-stop service from inventory storage to customs clearance and delivery.
Furthermore, transportation functions such as sea and air transport will be expanded, and customs procedures and paperwork in both countries will be simplified. This aims to reduce the personnel burden and lead times faced by small and medium-sized enterprises.
Furthermore, they are promoting digital transformation by introducing order management systems, electronic documents, and inventory traceability. Targeting a wide range of industries involved in international procurement and import, such as manufacturing, wholesale, and retail, they aim to provide a system that allows easy access to highly specialized international logistics services and handle 100,000 import shipments annually within the next five years.
