On September 4, NX Trading announced that it had been selected as a recipient of support for the "Support Project for Promoting Commercialization of Decarbonized Fuel Utilization," a project jointly initiated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Environmental Public Corporation to support businesses aimed at commercializing and implementing biofuels with low environmental impact in vehicles, ships, and other vessels.
In this initiative, the company plans to utilize its unique biofuel supply scheme for ships to supply a fuel mixture (B24) of heavy oil and biofuel to vessels arriving at and departing from Tokyo Port.
This project will be implemented with the support of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and will involve the supply of B24 fuel to the participating companies (Maruei Ferry, Nippon Shio Kaisou, Fujii Oil, Izu Nanashima Kaiun, Cosmo Oil Marketing, and NX Kaiun).
Under its Group Sustainability Vision, "Supporting a better life for people around the world and the development of a sustainable society through our business," NXHD is working to build a biofuel supply chain that supports all modes of transport: land, sea, and air.
Going forward, the plan is to contribute to the realization of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's goal of "Zero Emission Tokyo" and the development of a sustainable society through the introduction of biofuels.
