This liaison meeting brings together shipowners and ship management companies from Japan and abroad once a year with the aim of raising awareness of "safe operation" together.
The liaison meeting was attended by 76 people from 40 companies, and a lively exchange of opinions took place, including specific examples, on the latest trends in the industry and challenges on the ground in shipping operations, such as stricter environmental regulations, more stringent inspections by port states, diversification of cargo, geopolitical risks, and an increasingly complex operating environment.
At the social gathering following the liaison meeting, an awards ceremony was held to recognize achievements based on Kawasaki Kisen's ship inspection results and overall evaluation. Seven companies were selected for the "Outstanding Shipowner Award," four for the "Good Practice Award," and one for the "Special Award."
The company stated that it will continue to strengthen its collaboration with shipowners and ship management companies, strive to improve safety, environmental responsibility, and quality control, and contribute to the sustainable development of the global shipping industry.
