On September 12, Asahi Logistics announced the specific measures it is taking to protect the safety and health of its employees and partner companies by promoting company-wide heatstroke prevention measures this fiscal year.
<Working while wearing fan-equipped work clothes>

From July 25th, we conducted interviews with workers and drivers at businesses nationwide and distributed 1294 fan-equipped work uniforms to those who requested them. Six different types were introduced according to the needs of each business. We prepared fan-equipped work uniforms that balance work efficiency and safety, including types that can be operated with a switch on the chest and types that use fluorescent fabric so that a fluorescent vest does not need to be worn over them. In response to requests from businesses, we also prepared a model in which the position of the air conditioning fan has been changed to directly to the side. The uniforms have been well-received on the job site, with workers saying they are "cool."
<Using a heat index (WBGT) measuring device>

Furthermore, as a unique initiative of the Utsunomiya branch, two managers who conduct site inspections carry Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) meters and check alerts while speaking to workers. When the meters reach the heatstroke warning level, a real-time warning email is sent to the entire branch, and by quickly sharing the level of risk using clear criteria, the entire workplace is working together to prevent heatstroke.
In addition to these measures, we are continuing a multifaceted effort to help people safely get through the hot summer, including installing ceiling fans and distributing sports drinks and salt candies.
Asahi Logistics has been continuously taking measures to prevent heatstroke, but in response to the amendment of the Industrial Safety and Health Regulations in June 2025, which made heatstroke prevention measures mandatory, the company is implementing company-wide measures that reflect feedback from the field. Each business site is also advancing its own unique initiatives.
