On September 16, NIPPON EXPRESS Holdings launched the "NX-Tech HUB Open Innovation Program" on "AUBA," Japan's largest open innovation platform operated by eiicon. This program aims to drive innovation starting from land, sea, and air logistics sites, and has begun accepting applications for collaborative business ideas on themes such as "business DX and operational efficiency." This marks NXHD's first foray into open innovation through AUBA.
<We've revealed 36 challenges in logistics operations and are seeking ideas for digital transformation (DX)>

For many years, NXHD has supported the development of society and industry through its comprehensive logistics capabilities connecting land, sea, and air. However, with the current logistics industry demanding digital transformation (DX) and increased efficiency, the company launched this program as a platform to combine internal and external expertise to collaboratively solve challenges.
The call for submissions is for DX ideas to address 36 challenges in logistics operations, with the specific challenges and proposed solutions being as follows:
<Providing new value to customers and society = Sales, business planning, etc.>

<Providing new value to customers and society = Human resources, warehousing, transportation, etc.>

<Improving the value provided in warehousing and land transportation (trucks and rail)>

<Evolution of global supply chains realized through sea and air transport>

<Improving service quality and customer experience through innovation in administrative operations>

<Implementing initiatives that can be widely used as reference by customers>

The schedule going forward is as follows: an early application deadline on September 30th, a final application deadline on October 24th, document and interview screening in November, and the selected companies to be chosen in December.
The selected business ideas will undergo further refinement and pilot testing, and will enter into full-scale consideration for social implementation around the spring of 2026.
