20250925plo01 520x293 - Prologis completes construction of a 3.5 m2 dedicated logistics facility for Yamato Logistics in Okayama City.

"Prologis Park Okayama" is a logistics facility developed on a site of approximately 16,600 m2, with four above-ground floors and a total floor area of approximately 35,300 m2, making it the largest rental logistics facility in Okayama City.

The first floor features both low-floor and high-floor loading docks, and with a floor load capacity of 2 tons/m², it can accommodate heavy items such as beverages. The warehouse interior employs a non-braced structure, contributing to flexible layouts and material handling plans.

A roof approximately 13 meters wide is installed in part of the front of the low-floor berth, creating an environment that facilitates loading and unloading operations even in rainy weather. In addition, it has a waiting area for nine trucks, improving its convenience as a wide-area hub in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions.

The development site is located approximately 3.5 km from the Hayashima Interchange and 9 km from the Kurashiki Interchange, and can cover major cities in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions within a two-hour radius, giving it high potential as a logistics hub for the Chugoku and Shikoku areas.

Furthermore, it is located in an area with high elevation and stable ground, resulting in extremely low risk of flooding and liquefaction, and excellent disaster prevention capabilities.

From a business continuity planning (BCP) perspective, the facility is equipped with an earthquake early warning system, a disaster relief radio system called "Hazard Talk," and backup power generators to prevent power outages.

Prologis has a track record of developing "Prologis Park Hayashima II" in Okayama Prefecture in 2007, and "Prologis Park Okayama" will be its second development project in the Chugoku region.

At the completion ceremony, Daiwa Logistics President Katsuhiro Sugiyama and Prologis Chairman and CEO Mikio Yamada were among those in attendance, celebrating the completion of the facility.

Prologis offers "CROWD SPACE OKAYAMA" to companies that wish to open small-scale bases within "Prologis Park Okayama." When shippers and other companies wishing to use the facility with an area of 100 tsubo or more register as members, Prologis will match them with Daiwa Logistics, and by depositing their goods with Daiwa Logistics, they will be able to use "Prologis Park Okayama."
