On September 26, Seino Transportation announced that, together with Homedoor, a certified NPO headquartered in Osaka City, it will launch a comprehensive support model utilizing vacant company dormitories to help people who have lost their homes to rebuild their lives.

The program targets not only single individuals but also families and couples, providing immediate support to secure housing and employment, and continuing to offer ongoing, supportive assistance afterward.

Of the 1049 people who contacted Homedoor in fiscal year 2024, 593 had no home to return to.

Rebuilding one's life after losing one's home involves three major burdens: initial housing costs, job searching, and securing living expenses. Starting to live in one's own home requires significant expenses, such as furnishing it with furniture and appliances.

Even if you want to work, if you have lost your address, you can't even get a job. And even if you start doing day labor, the daily expenses such as using internet cafes and eating out add up, so you can't save enough money, and it takes a long time to get back on your feet.

Furthermore, for single-parent families and couples, there are few dormitories in Osaka Prefecture that can accommodate the whole family, making it difficult to find a place to move into immediately.

In this support model, Homedoor will deliver necessary household items to a room in an employee dormitory attached to a branch office of Seino Transportation, creating a system that allows employees to secure both "housing" and "work" at the same time.

There is no security deposit or key money required to move in, and the apartments are furnished, so you can start living there with no initial costs.

The jobs available are diverse, including drivers, office workers, and warehouse workers. Staff from Seino Transportation and Homedoor will conduct interviews to support the individual in starting work in a way that is comfortable for them.

Those who lack sufficient funds for living expenses in the initial stages of employment can start with temporary work (warehouse work) through Seino Staff Service.
