On September 30, Sankyu acquired all shares of Hino Construction Industry, a company that operates plant equipment construction and civil engineering businesses mainly in the Kansai area, making it a wholly owned subsidiary.
Sankyu's core plant maintenance business faces challenges such as a shortage of highly skilled on-site managers, supervisors, and technicians. Based on its "Medium-Term Management Plan 2026," the company aims to strengthen its competitiveness through enhanced collaboration with partners.
Since its founding in 1897, Hino Construction Industry has dedicated itself solely to the construction industry, upholding the management philosophy of "aiming to be the most trusted and needed company in the region through sound management and honest construction, and contributing to the local community through the sustainable development of our business."
Sankyu has built a 107-year history based on the fundamental principle of "valuing people," and aims to expand its business by fostering a sense of unity with Hino Construction Industry, integrating the refined technologies, skills, and accumulated know-how of both companies to strengthen its competitiveness, thereby developing public works (infrastructure projects) and new customer segments.
Furthermore, by efficiently utilizing the resources and personnel of both companies, Sankyu believes it can gain a foothold in its infrastructure business, which it has positioned as one of its new pillars, and strongly promote business expansion.
Sankyu believes that business and capital alliances with partners, including collaborating companies, will continue to be essential in order to respond to changes in the business environment of its customers, and it intends to work towards making this acquisition of shares a model case.
