Asahi Logistics announced on October 1st that it has relaxed its internal dress code, allowing employees to freely choose their hair color and style.

In response to the labor shortage in the logistics industry, the company is working to create an environment where diverse people can work comfortably. The goal is to improve employee satisfaction, expand the pool of applicants in recruitment activities, and enhance the overall image of the industry.

The main features of the relaxed rules are "freedom of hair color," "freedom of hairstyle," and "allowing the wearing of sunglasses while driving." As a company specializing in food logistics, the company reviewed the rules while prioritizing maintaining a clean and professional image.

While there are no restrictions on specific hair colors, the basic principle is to choose colors that do not cause discomfort to the workplace environment or customers. The aim is to encourage employees to express their individuality as a form of self-expression, while still prioritizing safety.

Regarding hairstyles, employees are allowed to express their individuality as long as it does not interfere with their work or cause discomfort to others. However, long hair must be tied back, and bangs must not cover the eyes.

For health reasons, such as protecting the eyes from strong sunlight, wearing sunglasses is permitted only while driving. To ensure that the eyes are visible to others when wearing sunglasses, the lenses will primarily be lightly tinted.

This rule applies not only to Asahi Logistics employees but also to all employees of all companies within the group.

Asahi Logistics aims to make the logistics industry a desirable field, and instead of unifying the image of companies and the industry through strict rules, they want to create an environment where individuality is respected and diverse people can thrive.
