On October 3, Tokyu Land Corporation announced that it had signed a basic agreement with the Nakahara Higashi Land Readjustment Project Preparatory Committee in Kasuya Town and the Beppu Land Readjustment Project Preparatory Committee in Shime Town as a joint venture with Nishimatsu Construction and Kyushu Railway Company, and that it had been selected as the prospective business representative for the (tentative name) Nakahara Higashi Land Readjustment Project in Kasuya Town and Beppu Land Readjustment Project in Shime Town.

This project is a land readjustment project aimed at sustainable urban development, taking advantage of the advantageous location along a major prefectural road in Kasuya Town, Kasuya District, Fukuoka Prefecture, which is within 30 minutes of major facilities such as Fukuoka Airport, Hakata Station, Fukuoka Interchange, and Hakata Port. The two preparatory committees have long been considering the introduction of a business outsourcing system in order to smoothly promote the project by utilizing the know-how and funds of private companies, and to efficiently and reliably advance the development and improvement of a good urban area and the cooperative project.
The joint venture's proposal is based on the business concept of "FUKUOKA Future Cross City - Creating new value by combining diverse attractions," and plans to create a city that generates new value full of appeal by integrating lively facilities, commercial areas, residential areas, industries, and agriculture. Logistics facilities will naturally be included in these industries.
The plan proposes creating a constantly evolving, high-value-added city through area management centered on renewable energy and advanced technology, and realizing a city that generates cutting-edge appeal through the integration of content.
