Nippon Access announced on October 7th that it has opened a new "Chubu Frozen Mother Logistics Center" in the Chubu area and that it began operations in September.

The Frozen Mother Logistics Center began pre-operation in the Kanto area in 2020, and has since expanded to the Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kinki areas. Now, it has established its fourth base, the "Chubu Frozen Mother Logistics Center," in the Chubu area, and is promoting the development of a logistics infrastructure where goods are procured in bulk at this center and then transferred to each branch and logistics center within the area.
By consolidating procurement functions within the area and sharing production and sales plans, and by placing orders on a vehicle-by-vehicle and pallet basis to promote consistent palletization, the process, which previously took an average of two hours, has been reduced to approximately 30 minutes, resulting in a more than threefold improvement in work productivity. This has led to increased efficiency in delivery operations and a corresponding reduction in CO2 emissions.
Furthermore, "palletization," which streamlines cargo handling and improves transportation efficiency, is a crucial initiative for the entire industry. Nippon Access has opened a frozen mother logistics center with "palletization" as its key concept to address these challenges. The company is expanding its logistics functions to include upstream logistics, and is working to build a logistics system that will enable sustainable and stable product procurement for the future.
