Mr. Service, a company in Okayama Prefecture that handles logistics center operation outsourcing, manufacturing line outsourcing services, and temporary staffing services, announced on October 9th that it will establish a new logistics base, the "Mito Center," in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
Construction will begin on September 25th, with operations scheduled to commence in January 2026.
The company aims to strengthen its delivery system in the East Japan area and expand local employment. This will be its first base in Ibaraki Prefecture. Including its contracted bases within other companies' premises in Okayama Prefecture, it will be its 11th base overall.
The purpose of the new facility is to leverage its access to the Kita-Kanto Expressway and Joban Expressway to function as a hub that strengthens the wide-area distribution system. By coordinating with the Kasama Plant, which has been operating for two years, and distributing inventory and personnel management, shipments will be made from a location closer to the delivery destination. This two-site system will enable both shorter lead times and stable supply. By improving distribution efficiency throughout Eastern Japan, the facility will comprehensively support companies' logistics challenges.
As this will be the company's first self-operated base in the Kanto region, it will centralize logistics operations and incorporate on-site improvement data into its business strategy, thereby optimizing logistics costs and improving service quality. Moving forward, the company plans to use this center as a base to promote business expansion and service diversification, and to meet the needs of a wider range of customers.
Furthermore, with the opening of the Mito Center, we plan to hire approximately 40 new employees (full-time and part-time), aiming to create opportunities for local talent to thrive and revitalize the local economy.
