TBK, headquartered in Machida City, Tokyo, which designs, manufactures, and sells various automobiles and industrial machinery, announced on October 10th that it has joined the "White Logistics" promotion campaign.

The "White Logistics" promotion movement is an initiative launched in 2019 by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to address the shortage of truck drivers.

The company submitted a declaration of voluntary action on August 20th and was listed as a supporting company on the movement's portal site on September 26th. According to the company, it is the first manufacturing company with its head office and main branch in Machida City, Tokyo, to make such a declaration.

The declaration of action includes reviewing transportation procedures and collaborating with shippers, logistics providers, and business partners. They are actively working on information sharing, reviewing delivery conditions, and reducing waiting times.

This aims to achieve both increased transportation efficiency and improved working conditions for truck drivers. Furthermore, by consolidating collection and delivery locations, utilizing consolidated shipments, and leveling out order volumes, the number of trips is reduced. This also contributes to the efficient use of resources and a reduction in CO2 emissions.

TBK is working on these activities across the entire group, aiming to realize sustainable logistics. In the future, they will work to improve transportation efficiency and reduce the burden on truck drivers through in-vehicle solutions, and they hope that "this will be an opportunity to raise momentum for improving logistics by collaborating with local communities."
