Senko Group Holdings held the "Senko Group Skills Contest 2025" on October 11th and 12th at "Crefeel Koto," a traffic safety training facility owned by the group and located in Higashiomi City, Shiga Prefecture.
The competition, now in its 14th year, brings together truck drivers and forklift operators from the same group to showcase their driving skills and knowledge.
This year, 74 representatives from our logistics business group, including those from overseas, participated (44 in the driver competition and 30 in the operator competition).
This year's event also featured a special demonstration run of a double-trailer truck by President Yasuhisa Fukuda.

At the opening ceremony, Kazuaki Namihei, Executive Officer in charge of Safety, Quality and Environment and Chairman of the organizing committee, encouraged the participants, saying, "Last year, we established a women's division to make the competition more accessible to everyone. We also aligned the competition content with the National Truck Driver Contest and the National Forklift Driving Competition to encourage active participation in the national competitions. We hope that all the contestants who have won their respective regional qualifiers will showcase the skills they have cultivated and approach the competition with a sense of enjoyment."
The "Driver Competition" featured 44 participants in the 4-ton, 11-ton, trailer, and women's divisions. The competition consisted of a written test assessing the participants' acquisition of necessary knowledge regarding safe driving, and a practical test evaluating their driving skills and daily vehicle inspections.

The practical competition included routine inspection procedures, a simplified course run to assess left-turning and truck parking techniques, a course run to assess driving skills and compliance with regulations, and challenge runs to assess driving through narrow passages, forward and backward slalom, S-shaped reverse maneuvers, and garage parking.
In addition, the "Operator Competition" featured 30 contestants in the counter-loader, reach truck, and women's (counter-loader only) divisions. The competition consisted of a written test assessing the contestants' knowledge of regulations and structural requirements necessary for professional operators, an inspection test evaluating pre-operation checks to ensure the safety of cargo handling and transportation, and a driving test where contestants drove a designated course and were judged on their basic operational skills, such as unloading, moving, and loading cargo of a specified weight.
