Seino Holdings has been contracted to handle the transportation and display of goods at the FamilyMart JR Naruse Station/N Store, an unmanned payment store that opened on October 15th inside JR Naruse Station on the Yokohama Line in Machida City, Tokyo. This is the first time that a logistics company has handled all aspects of a FamilyMart unmanned payment store, from transportation and delivery to display of goods.
"FamilyMart JR Naruse Station/N Store" is a store that utilizes an unmanned payment system developed by TOUCH TO GO. Compared to stores with manned registers, it will allow customers to shop in a shorter time, which is expected to improve convenience for railway users. In addition, it will enable labor-saving measures, which will reduce the store's operating costs and help alleviate labor shortages.
Previously, unmanned payment stores received goods from their parent stores for transportation and replenishment. Now, LOCCO, a Seino Group company, will be responsible for transporting goods, and Living Proceed, also a Seino Group company, will be responsible for displaying them.
This was made possible by using the "downtime" in Living Proceed's operations, which operates a post-in service, to replenish and display products at unmanned payment stores.
