On October 16, SAP Japan announced a new suite of solutions that leverage agentic workflows to enable companies to predict and optimize their entire supply chain.

This includes a new product, "SAP Supply Chain Orchestration," which provides cross-sectional visibility and optimization of the entire supply chain, and enhanced AI capabilities that highly integrate planning, logistics, and procurement. Through these innovations, SAP Japan will support companies in building supply chains that enable them to maintain business continuity and competitiveness, and achieve sustainable growth even in uncertain environments.

This solution detects potential risks in the supply chain early, analyzes their impact according to the company's unique network structure, and automatically proposes and executes the optimal response using AI and an agentic workflow. This enables integrated and rapid decision-making across various processes such as planning, logistics, procurement, and production.

Built on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and integrated with SAP Business Network and SAP Business Data Cloud, it provides visibility across the entire supply chain. This enables integrated analysis of data from multiple layers, including primary and lower-level suppliers, transforming external and internal risk signals into high-priority actions. It supports businesses in achieving sustainable growth in an increasingly complex trading environment by improving operational efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Furthermore, future plans include integration with SAP's AI-generated assistant, Joule, to support supplier compliance management, optimized customer service, and reduced revenue risks.

SAP Supply Chain Orchestration is scheduled to be available in the first half of 2026.

SAP Japan also announced a new solution, "SAP Logistics Management." This solution complements the operations of large-scale logistics centers previously provided by SAP Extend Warehouse Management, and supports the construction of a multi-layered distribution network by integrating and managing logistics operations of small and medium-sized regional and local locations.

It integrates with SAP Cloud ERP and SAP Business Network for Logistics, enabling centralized management of inventory, shipment, and partner information. Through AI-powered decision support, it eliminates silos in end-to-end logistics operations and promotes collaboration across the entire ecosystem supporting logistics, including shippers, 3PLs, and delivery companies.

This solution is scheduled to be available in the first quarter of 2026.
