The Japan Electrical Manufacturers' Association has signed a cooperation agreement with SG Moving, which has been contracted nationwide to collect four types of home appliances sold by mail order and has concluded cooperation agreements with 182 municipalities nationwide regarding products not subject to collection obligations.
We will expand our service that allows customers to easily request the collection of items not subject to collection obligations via the internet or telephone, and to request a one-stop service that includes the issuance of appliance recycling tickets, removal from the installation location within the home, and handover to the manufacturer.
The main points of the agreement are: "The Japan Electrical Manufacturers' Association will publicize the collection and transportation service for four types of discarded home appliances that SG Moving provides to consumers through its website, etc."; "The Japan Electrical Manufacturers' Association will introduce SG Moving's collection and transportation service to consumers as needed when they inquire at the Home Appliance Recycling Call Center, etc."; "SG Moving will create a new website for its collection and transportation service for four types of discarded home appliances, creating a system that consumers can use with confidence"; and "SG Moving will further promote cooperation with local governments and retailers."
