HANKYU HANSHIN EXPRESS PHILIPPINES, the Philippine subsidiary of Hankyu Hanshin Express, will open a new office and begin operations on October 23rd in Cagayan de Oro, the central city in northern Mindanao, Philippines. This will be the company's third base on the island.
Cagayan de Oro is a port city in northern Mindanao, home to numerous major Japanese and global food manufacturers, and enjoys strong demand for both international and domestic transportation.
The General Santos and Davao offices in the south covered the entire island, but due to the inconvenience of travel from the south, a new office was established in Cagayan de Oro.

Previously, traveling from the south to Cagayan de Oro took 7-8 hours by car, but the new base will allow for more intensive operations and enable activities in surrounding cities such as Iligan, Ozamiz, Pagadian City, and Zamboanga.
The Cagayan de Oro office will also operate a domestic transportation service, using the domestic transportation business license it obtained this year to procure containers and materials used for food processing from within the Philippines, such as Luzon, and ship the finished products from Mindanao to various locations throughout the Philippines.
