Azstaff, a company that operates temporary staffing, recruitment, and hiring outsourcing services, announced on October 17th that it has launched a training program for skilled drivers in collaboration with a local company in Nepal.
<Start of training program for certified skilled drivers>

In March 2024, the automobile transport industry was added to the Specified Skills Visa system, but it has not yet been widely adopted. Against this backdrop, Azstaff has launched a project to station Japanese instructors with national qualifications on-site to provide driver training.
<On-site driver training will be conducted>

In Nepal, trainees receive 40 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours of practical driving instruction. This is said to be equivalent to or more than the amount of study required for a Japanese person to obtain a new driver's license.
<More than 30 candidates have already received job offers>

The business operations are being handled in partnership with Kizuna HR Solutions Pvt. Ltd., which directly operates nine Japanese language schools in Nepal. So far, five companies have visited the country, and more than 30 people have received job offers.
Reasons for choosing Nepal include the fact that the steering wheel and road direction are the same as in Japan, and that there are fewer religious restrictions.
