Ryohin Keikaku, the company that operates Muji, announced on October 20th that it has suspended order processing and shipping operations for its official online shop, "Muji Net Store," since 9 PM on the 19th.
This service disruption is due to a "system failure caused by ransomware infection" at ASKUL, which stems from the fact that the company outsources the delivery of its online store to ASKUL LOGIST.
They are working with Askul to restore service, but the reopening date is currently undecided. They are also continuing to investigate the extent of the impact.
Furthermore, while the suspension of the "MUJI Online Store" has affected some functions of the official app "MUJI App," the company states that it has not been infected with ransomware and that there has been no impact on store logistics and delivery.
