A virtual PPA is a means by which consumers virtually procure the environmental value of renewable energy generated at a dedicated power plant located off-site.

Additional non-fossil fuel certificates generated from solar power generation facilities (approximately 8000 kW) will be provided to Mitsubishi Warehouse in the Kanto region through JERA Cross. This will enable Mitsubishi Warehouse to effectively procure electricity derived from renewable energy through the procurement of the environmental value of renewable energy.

Furthermore, coinciding with the signing of this PPA, Mitsubishi Warehouse and JERA Cross also signed a basic agreement regarding discussions on achieving Mitsubishi Warehouse Group's GHG emission reduction targets. They will continue to work on climate change countermeasures utilizing renewable energy.

As part of its environmentally conscious transportation initiatives, Mitsubishi Warehouse is also promoting the introduction of refurbished diesel and electric trucks, as well as modal shifts from truck transport to rail transport.
