Sumisho Global Logistics (SGL) announced on October 22 that its overseas subsidiary, Sumisho Global Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (SGLT), has expanded the warehouse space in the free zone at its Si Racha branch in Si Racha City, Chonburi Province, Thailand, by 2100 m2.

SGLT was the first logistics company in Thailand to obtain a business license for a free zone warehouse (5200 m2) in 2003, and as a pioneer in the country, has worked to enhance supply chains by utilizing free zones. Subsequently, it opened the Amata City Chonburi Free Zone Branch (8265 m2) and the Si Racha Branch (including a 5000 m2 free zone warehouse section). Now, it has expanded the free zone warehouse within the Si Racha Branch.
In the ASEAN region, including Thailand, multilateral procurement, processing trade, and re-exports are increasing due to the restructuring of global supply chains and the revitalization of intra-regional trade. Against this backdrop, in order to meet the demand for new schemes utilizing free zones, SGLT has established a new warehouse (2100 m2) in the free zone area on the premises of its Si Racha branch, thereby expanding its service menu to meet diverse needs.
Furthermore, the newly constructed warehouse at the SGLT Si Racha branch is not only located near Laem Chabang Port, one of Southeast Asia's largest commercial ports, but also boasts a floor load capacity of 10 tons/m2 to accommodate heavy industrial cargo. It will meet the storage needs of a wide range of industrial goods, including heavy machinery and large parts. In addition, a surveillance and security camera system covering the entire warehouse and 24-hour monitoring by a dedicated security team will ensure the safe storage of customers' cargo.
