On October 24, Bitkey announced that its "homehub inHome Service" and "Amazon Key" have been adopted for unattended delivery in existing condominiums managed by Daikyo Astage and Anabuki Community.
Even when residents are away, Amazon and Yamato Transport's "EAZY" service will be able to leave packages at the front door. This will be the largest-scale implementation of this system in a condominium complex in Japan.

The system involves installing Bitkey's smart lock "bitlock GATE" and a dedicated "Amazon Key" terminal on the entrance door of an apartment building equipped with an automatic lock.
Authenticated delivery personnel can temporarily unlock the automatic door using their dedicated terminal, only when they have the goods to be delivered, and deliver the package to the location specified by the resident.
"Amazon Key" is only available to Amazon's contracted delivery drivers, while Bitkey's smart lock can be used by delivery drivers affiliated with "homehub inHome Service," as well as service providers such as housekeeping services.

The ability to leave packages at the door eliminates the need for residents to request redelivery or wait for delivery, freeing them from time constraints.
By linking the ID for "POCKET HOME," a service for apartment residents provided by Daikyo Astage and Anabuki Community, with the ID for Bitkey's "homehub," residents can also unlock the automatic door lock from their smartphones.
Reducing redeliveries is a challenge, partly due to the shortage of truck drivers caused by the 2024 logistics problem. In particular, in apartment buildings with automatic locks, even if residents request contactless delivery, delivery personnel often have to take packages back because the delivery boxes are full or the building entrance is inaccessible.
