Packcity Japan, which operates the open-type parcel locker "PUDO Station," will begin a pilot program for Jimoty's first "person-to-person non-face-to-face transaction service" in Setagaya Ward on November 4th.
Jimoty is an information website that lists items by category, such as "items for sale/giveaway," "real estate information," and "job postings," and organizes them by prefecture and municipality. The pilot project was selected as a project eligible for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's "Demonstration Project Subsidy for Promoting the Dissemination of Diverse Receiving Methods." This is the first attempt in Japan to directly use "PUDO stations" for C2C services to exchange goods between individuals.
<Person-to-person non-face-to-face transaction service makes it possible to give away unwanted items simply by "dropping them off">

This peer-to-peer non-face-to-face transaction service frees users from the barriers to transactions that have traditionally been "scheduling face-to-face meetings" and "the hassle of packing and shipping," making it possible to give away unwanted items simply by "leaving them down."
"PUDO Stations" are open-type parcel lockers installed at approximately 7000 locations nationwide (as of October 2025), enabling contactless and non-face-to-face parcel receiving and sending at any time, anywhere. Because parcels from multiple delivery companies can be received and sent from a single location, the number of locations and users is increasing.
