Since 2021, the two companies have been providing a cold chain solution, both domestically and internationally, that combines VIXELL, developed and manufactured by Panasonic, with Nissin's transportation services, to meet the needs for temperature-controlled transportation of pharmaceuticals and other products.
In recent years, the transportation needs for pharmaceuticals and medical/biotechnology-related products have increasingly demanded sophisticated logistics solutions, including strict temperature control, due to advancements in formulation technology and the development of regenerative medicine. Against this backdrop, the two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding business cooperation in order to expand international transportation using "VIXELL."
The agreement outlines three points: "Nissin and Panasonic will work to promote the overseas distribution of VIXELL and expand international logistics utilizing it," "Nissin will strive to build a network of overseas supply bases for VIXELL," and "Panasonic will provide Nissin with VIXELL and technical support necessary for overseas distribution."
Through this initiative, Nissin aims to further expand its overseas-based projects, receiving technical support such as temperature control from Panasonic, and strengthening its overseas supply base network.
Furthermore, Panasonic has begun offering the largest capacity VIXELL containers available, and plans to further strengthen its overseas promotion activities for VIXELL to meet a wider range of applications than ever before.
