According to the second-quarter financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026, announced by ANA Holdings on October 30, ANA brand cargo sales were 869 billion yen for international flights (down 2.1% year-on-year) and 109 billion yen for domestic flights (down 2.4%).
In international cargo, while demand for triangular cargo from China to North America stagnated due to U.S. tariff policies, the company strengthened its efforts to capture cargo from Asia to North America, resulting in a higher transport weight than the same period last year. However, sales were lower than the same period last year due to the impact of exchange rates and a decline in demand for automotive-related and e-commerce cargo.
In terms of its route network, the company assessed demand trends and flexibly adjusted the routes and capacity of its cargo-only aircraft as needed. Furthermore, it continued to operate airline charter flights on North American routes, striving to ensure profitability.
Furthermore, NCA, which was newly incorporated into the group in August, had cargo sales of 35 billion yen. Although it was affected by the decline in demand for triangular cargo from China to North America due to U.S. tariff policies, it strengthened its efforts to capture cargo such as AI server-related goods from Asia to North America.
In terms of its route network, the company launched a Narita-Frankfurt route in September. Going forward, it aims to further expand its revenue by optimizing the cargo flight networks of both ANA and NCA.
ANA/April cargo weight increased 15.1% for international flights and 2.8% for domestic flights.
