On November 4, LexxPluss announced that Aeon Next has decided to install LexxPluss' automated guided vehicle (AGV) "Lexx500" and trolley attachment/detachment interface "LexxTug" solutions at its Hachioji Customer Fulfillment Center (Hachioji CFC), which is scheduled to open in 2026.

LexxTug will improve the efficiency of trolley transport in the refrigerated zone of Hachioji CFC, thereby increasing Hachioji CFC's supply capacity. In this implementation, LexxPluss and U-MACHINE, a group company of Mitsubishi HC Capital, will jointly provide the service.
LexxTug is an automated transport solution for cage trolleys and 6-wheel trolleys. By attaching it to the automated guided vehicle robot "Lexx500," it is possible to automatically attach, detach, and transport trolleys already in use in logistics and manufacturing sites without any modifications. The maximum payload capacity is 500 kg, and the maximum speed is 1.2 m/s (approximately 4.3 km/h).
Furthermore, Aeon Next's CFCs are large-scale logistics centers for delivering a wide range of products, including fresh food and daily necessities, to customers of Aeon's online-only supermarket, "Green Beans." The Hachioji CFC is scheduled to open in 2026. While existing CFCs use electric movers for transporting refrigerated goods on carts, challenges have been faced in assigning mover operators, securing training and education time, and ensuring the safety of operators and goods, such as preventing contact with pillars.
