On November 4th, Trabox announced that it will provide new features compliant with the revised Freight Motor Vehicle Transportation Business Act (New Trucking Act) free of charge to all companies, regardless of whether they use its freight matching service.

The newly added items are those necessary for managing the actual transportation system. The "Act to Amend Part of the Act on the Promotion of Integration and Efficiency of Distribution Operations and the Freight Motor Vehicle Transportation Business Act (New Trucking Act)," which was enacted and promulgated in May of this year, mandates that the details be clearly stated in writing when requesting transportation.
Furthermore, businesses that request transportation services will be required to create transportation utilization management regulations and appoint a manager to ensure that subcontractors can operate their services properly, and to record and preserve information on the transportation companies that actually transport the goods (actual transportation providers).
Trabox has been operating a freight matching service for 25 years and provides one of the largest platforms in Japan in terms of handling volume. As a result of numerous requests from its members for features that comply with the new Trucking Act, it has decided to offer these new features.
Specifically, to reduce the burden on transportation companies whose workload will increase due to the revised law, the system will offer features that allow for centralized online management from customer management to invoice issuance, as well as the automatic creation and downloading of data that meets the requirements of the revised law. "We hope to reduce the workload of all shippers and transportation companies, even just a little," and will offer these features free of charge to users of the freight matching service as well.
