According to the monthly railway transport statistics report for November 2025, released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on March 4, the total volume of freight was 3,478,429 tons (a 1.2% increase compared to the same month of the previous year), and the total freight ton-kilometers was 1,645,994,000 ton-kilometers (a 2.2% increase).
Container cargo volume was 1,890,677 tons (up 5.8%), cargo ton-kilometers were 1,416,880,000 ton-kilometers (up 2.5%), carload cargo volume was 1,307,081 tons (down 4.8%), and cargo ton-kilometers were 113,245,000 ton-kilometers (down 2.0%).
