Asahi Logistics held its first "Female Service Driver Training" on October 14th and 15th.

The training is part of the "Clover Project," which aims to expand opportunities for female and young service drivers and create a more comfortable working environment. Its objective is to further promote the success and recruitment of female drivers in the logistics industry.

The main activities included tours of the company's logistics facilities and daycare centers, training on management policies and safe driving, and discussions and hazard perception training led by experienced female drivers.

We also held a group discussion on the theme of "How to create a workplace where women can work comfortably."

In recent years, against the backdrop of a worsening driver shortage, the company launched the "Clover Project" in December 2019. With a goal of increasing the percentage of female service drivers to 10%, they are working to create an environment where women can thrive. This training program came about after a proposal from a female leader within the company to hold a training session exclusively for women, followed by careful planning and consideration.

In addition, by incorporating feedback from female service drivers and implementing various initiatives such as introducing women-only vehicles and establishing a dedicated consultation service, the percentage of women in the group increased from 6.3% at the start of the project to 8.1% (as of September 2025).

Asahi Logistics introduces specially designed trucks to make it easier for women to work.
