On November 6, Konoike Transport announced that its Kansai Steel Branch participated in the "Wakayama City-wide Safety Action Drill" held by Wakayama City in conjunction with "World Tsunami Awareness Day" (November 5), and cooperated in training on the use of drones in the event of a disaster.
The drill, organized by Wakayama City, aimed to raise disaster preparedness awareness among all citizens by having them review safe actions to take in the event of an earthquake. It was conducted simultaneously at multiple locations throughout the city on January 5th, "World Tsunami Awareness Day."
The Kansai branch of the steel company cooperated with evacuation drills at Kada Kindergarten and Kada Elementary and Junior High Schools, utilizing the loudspeaker function of drones used for operations within the premises of major steel manufacturers' steelworks to inform nearby residents of the warning and urge them to evacuate, as well as to check the evacuation situation from the air using drones.
