APT, a company specializing in logistics system engineering, released its latest survey report on logistics operations, "Logistics DX and Warehouse Automation: Current Status Survey 2025," on November 6th.
<Percentage of companies that have implemented automation (by company size)>

The report summarizes the results of a multifaceted survey of 500 employees nationwide involved in logistics and warehousing operations, examining the "actual situation," "perceived effects," and "challenges and needs" regarding logistics DX and warehouse automation. It provides data on the realities of the logistics industry, where labor shortages are becoming increasingly apparent, including labor shortages and the "2024 problem."
According to this survey, 83% of those implementing logistics DX and 86% of those implementing warehouse automation responded that they "feel the effects" of warehouse automation.
Furthermore, the adoption rate of logistics DX was 44.1%, and warehouse automation was 36.6%. Including those planned for implementation within one year, the figures rose to 58.1% for logistics DX and 45.5% for warehouse automation.
Data also shows that automation is becoming more widespread among small and medium-sized enterprises, indicating that it is spreading not only to large corporations but also to a wider range of businesses.
On the other hand, "high cost" and "difficulty in system integration" were cited as challenges during implementation, and it was observed that cost-effectiveness and selection expertise were becoming barriers to adoption.
